Coffein Compagnie Vietnam coffee
Coffein Compagnie Vietnam Co. Ltd (previously Hiang Kie Industries Limited) was established in Vietnam in May 2006, after Coffein Compagnie Singapore Ltd (previously International Coffee Traders Pte Ltd) took over the decaffeination business of Hiang Kie Pte Ltd in Singapore.
The processing plant from Singapore was relocated to Long Thanh Industrial Zone in Dong Nai Province and is the first decaffeination plant set up in Vietnam. Production began in May 2007 using the dichloromethane (DCM) method of processing.
In 2012, Coffein Compagnie Vietnam expanded its operations and production capacity by adding a second DCM factory on the same property.
Hiang Kie Pte Ltd (HKPL) traces its roots back to Palembang, Indonesia to the 1920s and was officially incorporated in Singapore in 1936.
Being pioneers in the Singapore coffee industry, some of HKPLs highlights were:

- First coffee polishers and colour sorters in Asia
- Specialist in ageing of coffee for the gourmet market
